Every year, the women of Apostles get away together for a weekend retreat.  This weekend is a great opportunity to have fun getting to know other women and grow closer to the Lord.

The next Women's Retreat will be held February 6-8, 2009 in Greensboro, NC at the Embassy Suites hotel.

Why Come?
What is our Focus?

Why Come?

If we could offer you a weekend away with...
 no email to check
  no phone to answer
   no dishes to wash
    no diapers to change
     no Target runs
      no grocery lists
       no meals to prepare
        no beds to make
Would that be enough to truly satisfy?

For any woman - single, married, with/without kids - it’s a delightful depiction. But truly fulfilling? Not really.

Why? Because we were wired to need something more. Created in the image of a God who is relational, we too want, need & crave RELATIONSHIPS.

The 2008 Women’s Retreat is all about those relationships. The one between each one of us and our God, as well as those between each other.

So mark your calendar, save the date, hire your sitter (house, dog or baby), and make plans for a weekend of

 great friendship,
   fellowship &
     blessing!

What is our Focus?

During our time together on this retreat, Pam Moore will guide us as we open our hearts’ eyes to God’s Sacred Stories.

In our own lives, we see sacred stories of great joy, pain and sorrow. And in the Bible, we see stories of Jesus encountering women with similar heart pangs -- the woman who annointed Jesus, the woman caught in adultery, the bleeding woman who touched Jesus’ cloak. And through all such sacred stories, we see the hand of Almighty God working in the midst—healing, holding, nurturing and standing truimphant beside those whose heart belongs to Him.

Using different stories from the Bible, we will see the wonderful relational nature of our God. How He relates to those around Him and how He wants to relate to us. And by taking the time to look into our own hearts and the relationships with those around us, we will begin to see God’s telling of our own sacred stories.

Every woman is blessed with a Sacred Story that the Lord is weaving according to His perfect plan. And how blessed we will be to take time away from the busy-ness of life to think on these things!
