Why Come?
About the Speaker

Why Come?

If we could offer you a weekend away with...
 no email to check
  no phone to answer
   no dishes to wash
    no diapers to change
     no Target runs
      no grocery lists
       no meals to prepare
        no beds to make
Would that be enough to truly satisfy?

For any woman - single, married, with/without kids - it’s a delightful depiction. But truly fulfilling? Not really.

Why? Because we were wired to need something more. Created in the image of a God who is relational, we too want, need & crave RELATIONSHIPS.

The 2010 Women’s Retreat is all about those relationships. The one between each one of us and our God, as well as those between each other.

So mark your calendar, save the date, hire your sitter (house, dog or baby), and make plans for a weekend of

 great friendship,
   fellowship &
     blessing!

About the Speaker for the 2010 Women's Retreat

Paula is a seasoned writer, speaker, and counselor, wife, mother and grandmother who focuses on helping women live into all God has in mind for them.

Paula shares parts of the following on her website www.paularinehart.com.

“If we could talk over a cup of tea, I’d love to hear your story. We all have a story, an endlessly fascinating one, because God is its Author.

Somewhere in our conversation, I’d probably talk about some of the things I love—like the mountains of North Carolina and a deep laugh with a goodfriend.

As an author, speaker, and counselor, my great pleasure is helping women experience God in the challenges we face and our most important relationships, in the dreams we’ve carried for what seems like forever. I am convinced that women hunger for a reality and depth to their lives that only Christ provides.

Years ago, when people wore bell bottoms the first time and campuses rioted over a different unpopular war, Christ met me on the path I was traveling. He waited and wooed and drew me to a light so inviting, so beautiful that everything else faded into shadows. More than anything, I am simply grateful.

My hope is that our weekend together will serve as an invitation to a few fresh thoughts and well-worn wisdom that leads you deeper into the light of Christ on your journey.”
